If you've lost your job, there's no denying that it does take a hit to your self-esteem. It does make you think. Why me? And what about me? And am I not as good as I think I am? Or am I not good enough? And who would want to hire me if they didn't want to keep me? And when you get to a certain age, it adds to the stress of, “will someone hire me?”
