Sweet but Fearless Podcast

Mar 7, 2022

In a conversation with Ashley Leftwich, COO with Rock The Street, Wall Street, Ashley shares her story of how she pivoted from corporate life to the non-profit world and found a gratifying purpose in the process. She’d always lived a philanthropic lifestyle and was heavily involved in her community and supporting nonprofits growing up. After earning her undergraduate degree in marketing and her MBA from Middle Tennessee State University, she started her career, climbing the corporate ladder at a Fortune 100 company.

Pivoting into the non-profit sector, she wanted to merge her passion for financial literacy, philanthropic drive, and working with young women to mentor. Enter Rock The Street, Wall Street, a financial and investment literacy program designed to inspire, educate, and equip girls with the skills to succeed financially throughout their lives.

RTSWS empowers young women to break the vicious multi-generational financial illiteracy cycle that abets continuing poverty. Two out of three women in the US, state they know little to nothing about finance, nor financial products.

Starting in one school in 2013, RTSWS program is now in 51 schools across 26 cities, including Vancouver Canada, with six more schools scheduled to start this year including one in London. Rock The Street, Wall Street is going across the pond!

Ashley shares more about RTSWS and how YOU can get involved!
