Today we’re going to discuss both sided of the debate on whether “leaders born or taught….or maybe a little of both?” Business and academic circles generally fall on one side of the debate and then there’s the group that believes leaders are born and feels that certain innate traits are needed in order to develop into an outstanding leader when circumstances present themselves. The group that believes that leaders are "made" argue that training, hard work, and experiences result in the development of outstanding leaders. But the answer may lie with a combination of both.
When you look at what makes a strong leader, the ability to effectively lead, motivate, and direct a group of people – whether it is in business or sports - requires a very complex set of skills, mostly acquired through experiences, self-development as well as access to additional training.
